September 2021 Liesl’s wedding

At the end of September we got to fly to Oregon to attend Liesl and nicks wedding. We got to see, and spend quality time with some of the Oregon family that we hadn’t seen in a while. In the end we were really glad that we were able to take the time to make the trip and represent some of the California family.

When we first got to the wedding venue it was an empty building but we worked with nicks family to help transform it for the wedding. It was a beautiful location out on a farm and Liesl made a beautiful bride. We are very happy for her and her new life with Nick.

Call Maureen, Liesl‘s mother, was in a car accident but she was able to attend the wedding in a wheelchair. In the weeks leading up to the wedding she was in a hospital room so everyone was glad that she was able to be there. I got some great pictures of Dale‘s grandkids and all of his kids and their families. I like to do a yearly calendar so this was a great opportunity to get some good pictures.

The day after the wedding we got to go to the Portland Temple for their ceiling. Was a misty day but still beautiful. We got to get to know the Tokarski family even better as we had a nice meal at a steakhouse afterwards to celebrate.

Before we flew back home we got to drive around Portland some and see botanical gardens (mostly from the car), we got to go to a farmers market/market and attend a local ward. Jeff’s mom was there with us and it was a lot for her to do all that traveling but she was a good sport and was glad that she was able to be there. We found some good food places for breakfast next to our hotel and enjoyed our quick trip to Portland.
