November 2022

So it’s November and we’re starting to get ready for the holiday season. This month we were able to host a big family Thanksgiving dinner at our house. We were missing Jacob and Ashley but we were able to have a lot of family. Cheri and Ryan are planning to move to Tennessee next month so we were very grateful to be able to have their family with us before their move. We took lots of pictures so that we would have more for our family calendar.

Since Steve’s kids were in town we also went to the Mission Inn one night and had some yummy donuts and enjoyed the lights. With Covid the light display is much more mellow and not all the vendors were there. It was a nice relaxing way to start Getting in the Christmas spirit.

Fun news from Idaho. Jacob has started dating a girl named McKenna. I’ve been hearing updates and they are enjoying finding fun and creative things to do on dates together. Since they weren’t able to go home for Thanksgiving they got together with Ashley and Conute and did their own Thanksgiving. We will look forward to meeting her in the future!

We also got to go to the beach again to meet up with the Thompson’s. It’s nice that in Southern California you can enjoy sitting on the sand in November. We had a great time and the sunset was beautiful.

My good friend Mary Ann's oldest son Brock is engaged and we got to go to a fun engagement party. They did a great job planning it and we enjoyed it.

I also got to represent our family at Sarah Hales bridal shower. We will be out of town for her wedding but I facetimed Ashley and so she could say hi and support Sarah. Sarah practically lived at our house after school every day when she was in high school and she felt like part of the family!

I have a fun sewing project making a t-shirt quilt for Christmas for my friend Patti.

I added to my crochet display with making a turkey in honor of Thanksgiving. I also made turkey magnets and raffle them off to students ha ha. And then I had a sweet student give me a succulent. So sweet.

For community service club with a turkey with thankful feathers to put on display.

Jenae and Ben welcome their new baby to their family. We are so excited for them!

The tshirts are ready for our family reunion next month!!

Jacob and Ashley couldn't come down for Thanksgiving due to work and school but they were able to get together during that weekend and were able to find places to go to celebrate Thanksgiving. I'm glad they they are in the same state so they can see each other often.
