For the president's weekend we took a quick trip to Cabo with Joel and Virginia. Jeff and Joel have made a number of trips as the Oleson's bought and furnished their condo so I have seen the pictures and been excited to go and check it out with them.
We ended up going over the bridge straight into the airport. Jeff and Joel have done it smoothly many times but the day that we were there it was very busy and the bridge was so clogged if they had not pushed through some people to get to the handicap line we most likely would have missed our flight! Once we got on the plane everything went smoothly however.
Arrived in Cabo and enjoying a walk to the beach.
The water was cold but the weather was nice.
I guess in February you could expect that the water wouldn't be the warmest.
The resort and room we stayed in was very comfortable. The room was big and there was plenty of space to spread out and relax.
My favorite thing to do was open the sliding glass windows and enjoy the weather and the view from the patio.
One of the first things we did was take a boat ride to see the area. We decided not to take one that drops you off at the beach that has the Atlantic ocean on one side and the Pacific on the other. We could see the view from the boat and that was good enough for me.
We got to see whales while we were on our boat trip. This boat got an up close and person view!
While we were in Cabo we also walked along the harbor and just discovered whatever we could see. The boys got to feed seals one time when we turned a corned and found a guy that was selling fish that you could feed to the seals.
We had a lot of good food when we were visiting. I think everywhere we ate was good!
We spend some time exploring the beaches even though we really didn't get in the water much we were able to lay out on the sand and enjoy the sun.
One of the day trips we did was drive to San Jose del Cabo which was an older part of Cabo. We enjoyed exploring the smaller town and eating a meal (Jeff made a friend as we were waiting for our table) and enjoying the art garden.
View of the church from the inside of the O on the sign.
On the last night before we left Cabo we had a great dinner at an Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and tasted like authentic Italian food which was surprising for where we were. We had a great trip and it was a perfect vacation to break up the rest of the school year for me.
And in news of the kids... Jacob, Ashley and Conute were able to enjoy a visit from Cody Cowden up in Rexburg.
